A generous Mernda block planned as a sequence of outdoor rooms: pool and spa, fireside pavilion, sunken fire pit and open lawn.

The Heals Road site in Mernda is large and open, and the brief called for a garden that could hold both a family and a crowd. Our landscape design arranges it as a series of outdoor rooms. A pool with a raised circular spa runs beside the gabled alfresco and its outdoor kitchen, a pavilion with a brick fireplace and glass walls looks back over the water, and a sunken fire pit sits out in the lawn, reached by a trail of stepping stones.

Beyond the terraces, gravel paths loop through broad lawns beneath eucalypts and red-leaved trees, with hedges enclosing the boundaries. Green mosaic tile, pale limestone paving and black steel fencing keep the pool area calm. The garden is under construction now, and we are facilitating the build with design direction on site.
