What happens at a consultation
Every project begins on site, with our director, and a conversation about how you want to live outdoors.
Every Forge project begins with a meeting on site with our director, David Forge. We walk the property together and talk through how you live, what you would like the landscape to do, and the budget and timing you have in mind.
While we are there we look closely at the things a plan alone cannot show: the fall of the land, aspect and shade, the views worth keeping and the ones worth screening, access for construction, and how the house opens to the garden.
A consultation is $250 + GST within metropolitan Melbourne and $500 + GST regionally. Following the meeting you receive a written proposal confirming the brief, the scope of work, what will be delivered and the fee. Nothing proceeds until that scope is clear and agreed.
