A French provincial garden of limestone, clipped hedges and white bloom, with a pool, spa and sports court held within.

The Brunel Street house in Malvern East called for a garden as ordered as its limestone facade. Our landscape design sets it behind rendered piers, clipped hedging and a row of pencil pines, with broad pale steps rising to the arched entry between banks of white hydrangea. To the rear, a compact pool and spa sit against a tall hedge screen beside the pool house, an arched loggia becomes an outdoor dining room, and a green sports court completes the plan.

Planting keeps to a restrained palette of white flowers, clipped balls and deep green hedges, set against grey stone paving and smooth rendered walls. Black steel pool fencing and timber lounges keep the pool terrace quiet in tone. The design is complete and the build is yet to begin. When it does, we will run the tender and give design direction on site.
